Just by folding paper you can make boats, hats, planes, boxes and clothes. Join origami creator, teacher and author Tung Ken Lam to make these, and more. For generations children and adults around the world have folded humble paper into fun toys (e.g. flapping birds and fortune tellers) and useful objects (e.g. boxes and envelopes). Take home any item you fold. Drop in any time between 11.00 and 15.30. Suitable for children of all ages, especially aged 5 or over. Difficulty level ranges from easy (e.g. paper cup) to moderately challenging (e.g. a traditional crane).
You can also see some origami and other artistic interpretations based on our archives as part of the temporary onsite exhibition by Sally Annett – Systems of Philosophy – Wall(paper)s of Mind.
