Overview
Enjoy an afternoon of classical songs this summer at Bletchley Park!

Help celebrate Milton Keynes’ 50th birthday and head to Bletchley Park this summer. Relax with an afternoon of classical songs as you are serenaded by Neil Simon, The Romantic Tenor and award winning opera crossover soprano Marika Rauscher.

Chill out in our deckchairs, enjoy summertime snacks from our barbecue, and delight in a Pimms tent treat!

Key timings for the day
The Romantic Tenor will sing from 12:00 – 16:00.
The barbecue will serve food from 12:00 – 15:00 and will be subject to a charge – cash only.
The Pimms tent will be open from 12:00 – 16:30 and will be subject to a charge – cash only.

In the instance of extreme bad weather, the event will take place in our Teleprinter Hall.

Entry to this event to watch the musical performance is included in your admission price.

The barbecue will serve food from 12pm – 3pm and will be subject to a charge.

The Pimms tent will be open from 12pm – 4.30pm and will be subject to a charge.

About the Romantic Tenor

Neil is from Hastings and took up singing later on in life after a chance meeting with famous soprano Marie McLaughlin who suggested he had an operatic Italian voice. He subsequently trained his voice with Marie and Gary Coward and has performed in opera for a number of touring companies such as London Opera Players, Candlelight Opera, Opera Box, Opera Live! and St.Albans Chamber Opera.

Neil’s tenor voice is powerful and lyrical, ardent, passionate and full of romance. He performs a mixture of romantic Italian songs, opera, musicals and popular songs.

As The Romantic Tenor he has performed at numerous musical events including weddings, corporate events, parties and concerts. Venues he has sung at recently include Banqueting House, the Institute of Directors, The RAC Club, Hatfield House, Hanbury Manor, Roux at Parliament Square, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Royal Geographical Society, the Queen’s House Greenwich and Leighton House museum.

About Marika Rauscher

Marika is a London based, Global Award Winning Opera Crossover Soprano, enjoying a varied career as a Soloist, Session Singer and Bespoke Entertainment Specialist for Corporate and Private Engagements.

Amongst her recent credits, Marika sang for the Royal Family accompanied by the Band of Scot Guards, made her debut at The Royal Opera House: Covent Garden in Robert Carsen’s award winning production of ‘Dialogue of the Carmelites’, and has performed at The Royal Albert and Royal Festival Halls.

Marika’s vocal’s can be heard on numerous Hans Zimmer film soundtrack recordings, including: Madagascar 2, Spiderman 3, The Fantastic Four, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, King Kong, War of the Worlds, The Da Vinci Code and The Island and features on the original west-end cast recording of Cameron Macintosh’s production ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Flashdance: The Musical’. Amongst her recording credits are clients such as XBox, the BBC and the English National Opera. Her debut album “A Broken Heart” is available on iTunes and Amazon.
