Expert vintage hair and make-up artist Sarah Dunn of Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos will show you how to recreate an iconic style of the 1940s in full, from victory rolls and glamorous curls through to the perfect red lipstick. You’ll learn the history behind the style as well as picking up lots of practical styling tips to help you achieve a great, wearable vintage look. Watch one of Sarah’s victory roll tutorials here.
Participants will need to bring
Hair brush and comb
Their own make-up bag containing:
Make-up brushes, eye-liner, lip liner and lipstick, preferably red, a palette of eyeshadows (preferably neutral shades)
*Please note participants are welcome to bring their favourite hair styling items such as curlers, rollers, hot sticks (however this is not compulsory as equipment will be provided).
We reserve the right to cancel this event if the minimum number of spaces has not been sold two weeks prior to the event.
No refunds available less than two weeks before the event.
Friends of Bletchley Park will need to show proof of membership along with event ticket at admissions on the day.
Any electrical hair equipment bought on site will be inspected for visible damage.
