Overview
Bletchley Park ranked one of the best in the UK

Today (Tuesday 13 August) Bletchley Park is named as one of the UK’s top travel experiences, in Lonely Planet’s Ultimate United Kingdom Travelist. The museum and heritage attraction was ranked 145th out of 500 of the most memorable, beautiful, surprising and compelling experiences to be had across Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Rebecca Foy, Director of Public Engagement at Bletchley Park said:

“We’re delighted to be featured in Lonely Planet’s Ultimate UK Travelist. The secret that Bletchley Park is now open to visitors is well and truly out. Our programme of exhibitions and events mean there is lots to see and do here, and many different ways for people to learn about the important codebreaking work, and technological innovations, that took place at Bletchley Park during World War Two.”

New for this year is a permanent exhibition coinciding with the 75th anniversary of D-Day, ‘D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion’, presenting the vital impact intelligence produced at Bletchley Park had on the invasion plans.

Free family workshops and family tours are taking place throughout the summer holidays, as well as a free summer concert series (included with general admission tickets.) Under 12s visit for free.
