Once Britain’s best-kept secret, Bletchley Park, Home of the Codebreakers, is a unique heritage and museum site with an award-winning learning programme. The Learning Officer will join Bletchley Park at an exciting time supporting the delivery and expansion of a formal and informal learning programme that currently welcomes 32,000 formal learners and 6000 families to site as part of a wider Masterplan.
We value highly inspirational, authentic, inclusive, interactive and collaborative learning experiences that engage visitors with the collections, site and exhibitions focusing on history, computing, mathematics and technology. In this new role the ideal candidate will be motivated to embrace change, have excellent teaching, communication and collaborative working skills with an ability to work with teams across site to deliver a smooth visitor experience. The post will manage learning administrative staff, teaching staff and the day to day onsite operational activities including formal learning and family learning visitor experiences. Excellent interpersonal skills, experience of staff management, managing activities and enthusiasm for creative engagement is required. Experience of organising, teaching and delivering successful activities within a museum, heritage or learning environment is essential as is the ability to work with diverse audiences including groups with special educational needs and access requirements.
