Decrypting D-Day Talk
Bletchley Park played a key role in the success of Operation Overlord, the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944. Discover how the information collected by Bletchley Park before and after the invasion was used from its first transcription and analysis until it reached its final destination. Bletchley Park’s Research Historian, David Kenyon, will also explain how the intelligence benefited the Allied commanders, before touching on how previous historians have approached the story as more and more documents have been declassified over the years.
The talk will begin at 2pm, to be followed by a question and answer session with tea and cake from 3pm to 4pm. Ticket holders are welcome to arrive throughout the day to enjoy Bletchley Park at their leisure.
