These packages are designed to make your day as enjoyable and informative as possible and to help you get the most out of your experience whilst with us at Bletchley Park. We can now offer three delicious catering options to suit your budget and your Group can relax and dine in the area dedicated to them for the day, either in one of the iconic Codebreaking Huts or in the atmospheric Victorian Mansion, meaning that you avoid queues in our public restaurant during busy periods. In addition to this, you will have a personalised service with your very own Bletchley Park Tour Guide looking after your party for your visit. Your Guide will be available for you through the day to answer any queries your Group may have, ensuring that you really do get the ultimate Bletchley Park experience. The three new all-inclusive options are as follows;- Option 1 £18.00 per head (Inc VAT) Tea coffee and biscuits on arrival. Option 2 £18.00 per head (Inc VAT) Chef’s soup of the Day and freshly baked roll with butter. Tea, coffee or soft drink. Tea, coffee and mini chocolate brownies or mini muffins on departure. Option 3 £20.00 per head (Inc VAT) Bletchley Park homemade Cottage Pie with seasonal market vegetables or Vegetarian option. Tea, coffee or soft drink. The Visit Schedule Upon arrival your members will be greeted by our customer service team and your guide for the day. After tea and coffee, the guide will give a short introductory talk, followed by the first half of the tour. This takes place around the outside of the wartime buildings in the grounds of Bletchley Park, where visitors are given a detailed history of the site and its codebreaking activities. You will discover what went on at each of the key locations, including the famous codebreaking huts, and there will also be a chance to see the Polish Memorial in the stable yard. This part of the tour lasts approximately 1¼ hours. This will be followed by a 45 minute - 1 hour break for lunch. The second half of the tour resumes after lunch and will include a visit to Block B museum which tells the complete Bletchley Park story. It houses the Abwehr Enigma machine, Lorenz machine, Bombe Rebuild, Alan Turing statue, World War Two Aviation display, Home Front Exhibition, Toy Collection, Milton Keynes Amateur Radio Society, Ox & Bucks Light Infantry at Pegasus Bridge display, and a German Signals Group. The tour will also include a visit to the Colossus Rebuild, the first semi-programmable electronic computer. The afternoon part of the tour usually lasts 1½ - 2 hours. The tour is rounded off with an opportunity to visit the gift shop situated in Block B which stocks a fascinating range of books and souvenirs. Visitors will then have afternoon tea and coffee, and there will also be a little time to go back and look at any exhibit in more detail before departure. A World War Two Evacuee's Story Also available for your group by request - 'A World War Two Evacuee's Story' by Joan Draper. A moving, humorous and honest personal account of a World war Two evacuee and life in wartime Britain as seen through the eyes of a child. A 30 minute talk which tugs at the heart strings and captures the imagination of every generation. This talk will usually take place before the second half of the tour. Wheelchair Access There is reasonable wheelchair access to most areas of Bletchley Park. Disabled lifts are situated in Block B museum and toilet facilities are located adjacent to the Mansion and also in Block B. A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available for hire at no extra cost, these must be booked in advance.
Parking On site coach parking is available free of charge daily. |
