Bletchley Park TourCottages in the Stable Yard![]() Before the war, the three linked cottages in the stable yard were home to the Leon family's head coachman, the corn store for the horses, and the tack room. It was to Cottage Number 3 that Dilly Knox and John Jeffreys brought ideas for breaking Enigma obtained at the famous meeting with Polish cryptanalysts in the Pyry forest in July 1939. Once Enigma had been broken, the cottage was quarantined, with news of the success kept secret even from the rest of the Park. |
