Hut 6 Decoding Room

Once the key settings for an intercepted Enigma message had been found, these were used in the Decoding Room to set a Type-X machine so that the operator could key in the intercepted text and recover the plain German text.

Several of the huts still survive today, along with many other wartime buildings. These are among many attractions for you to enjoy if you visit Bletchley Park.
