Bletchley Park TourThe wartime garages in the Stable Yard![]() With the exception of a row of horseboxes demolished by Captain Faulkner, the Stable Yard is very much as it was in the Leons' time. The former stable block was converted to garages during the war. Above it was the pigeon loft, the wartime occupants of which played a vital communications role. Carrier pigeons were transported to neighbouring airbases, thence to occupied France, returning to the Park under their own steam with messages from the Resistance. |
